JOB TITLE: Rebar Machine Operator
LOCATION: Rumford, RI
HOURS: Shift 5AM-1PM
A family owned and operated, fast paced Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales company located in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a Rebar Machine Operator to join our team. A rebar fabricator will assist with the fabrication, organization, and loading of rebar as it is placed into production by the project manager and delegated by the shop manager. Lindon group is eager and excited to welcome a candidate to the fabrication department with available benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively use a Table bender, Shearline, a crane, and forklifts.
- Responsible for operating machines with effective organization and tagging of rebar/rebar bundles.
- Operating fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material moving equipment.
- Operators must maintain quality and performance standards on a consistent basis, while working safely and alert for potential hazards.
- Demonstrates basic math skills to include fractions necessary for making calculations required in fabrication. Must have the ability to read and understand a tape measure.
- Select fabricators may also be recruited for completing other tasks on and off site which may include welding, and other shop related duties
- Must be capable of physically exerting work and capable of lifting heavy loads.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Prolonged periods of physical labor which include heavy lifting, walking and/or standing for extended periods of time, exposure to high noise levels, fluctuating/high temperatures in the summer months, working shifts that may exceed 10 hours, and lifting 50-75 pounds at times
