Pipefitter - Electric Boat
Job Description
Skills for Rhode Island’s Future is recruiting candidates for Electric Boat, a Quonset based manufacturer who designs and builds the nuclear submarines used by our US Navy.
COMPANY NAME: General Dynamics Electric Boat
JOB TITLE: Pipefitter
LOCATION: North Kingstown, RI
HOURS: Full Time
Electric Boat is seeking experienced pipefitters for their Quonset facility.
Key responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install the piping systems that carry the ship’s liquids and gases
- Working with various systems including hydraulic, lube oil, high and low-pressure air and steam and seawater
- Enhancing systems to prepare for Company, Navy, and Government inspections
Successful candidates will have:
- High school diploma/GED
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, diagrams and perform basic layout functions
Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screening.
