JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Training
STIPEND: $50 Per Week
HOURS: Mon-Fri 9: 30am-3pm
Manufacturing 2.0 training program is a free, hands-on training that prepares participants for entry-level positions in the manufacturing industries throughout RI
Candidates will meet manufacturers and learn skills such as basic math, bench work, lean principles, precision measurements, tool use, job safety and employment counseling
The program consists of three levels and all applicants must begin at Level 1
Those completing Level 3 earn a Manufacturing Pre-Apprentice Certificate and placement in a CNC apprentice job
High school diploma or GED
Citizenship and RI residency
Eighth grade reading and math proficiency
Basic computer skills
Readiness to succeed in training and the ability/ willingness to work all shifts
