Skills for Rhode Island's Future (Skills RI) is recruiting candidates for the Machine & Marine Training Program (On-the-Job Training) sponsored by Polaris MEP.
TRAINING TITLE: Machine & Marine Training Program (On-the-Job Training)
START DATE: Rolling Enrollments starting Sep. 2020
HOURS: various shifts – primarily 1st shift
PAY: $15.00+
WHERE: various locations throughout Rhode Island
TRAINING DETAILS:
The Machine & Marine Training Program (On-the-Job Training) is a unique training program for candidates who are looking to get to work NOW! If you enjoy learning new skills on the job and prefer a career where you can work with your hands then this is an opportunity you do not want to pass up. Successful participants in this program will be matched with an employer, hired at $15 an hour and then have the opportunity to learn and/or further develop their skills in the following areas: Welding, Forklift Driving, Mechanics , Blueprint Reading, Metal Working, Painting, Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber Fabrication, Sanding, Boatyard help, CNC/CAD/RHINO and more. We are searching for candidates who are looking to re-enter the workforce ASAP with a strong desire to learn & develop new hands-on skills!
