COMPANY NAME: The Beck Companies
JOB TITLE: Lay Up Technician
LOCATION: North Smithfield, RI
HOURS: Full-Time, 1st Shift
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load, unload, and move cabinets and other materials using forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Laying up and pressing panels to be used for interior and exterior cabinetry, games etc.
• Laying up and pressing panels to be used for interior and exterior aircraft parts. 
• Trimming panels on the CNC
• Assist in tracking and organizing cabinet material inventory, including counting, labeling, and recording incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Inspect cabinet materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies during handling and report any issues to supervisors.
• Assist in preparing cabinet materials for customer orders, including cutting, shaping, or finishing as necessary,
• Quality checks all parts and pieces coming off machine.
• Note any damage and make sure all parts and pieces are accounted for clean and labeled.

Successful candidates will have:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good knowledge of different wood materials
• Knowledge of hand fabrication
• Knows how to use a tape measure.
• Attendance and work ethics are key.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
