Housekeeping/Environmental Services Aide – Brown University Health

In this role, you can expect the following responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and wash floors and surfaces following established cleaning procedures.
- Refill soap, sanitizer, paper towels, and tissue dispensers as needed.
- Remove trash, biohazard waste, recyclables, and soiled linens in accordance with safety and infection control procedures.
- Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, beds, mattresses, furniture, and equipment.
- Operate housekeeping and floor care equipment, including vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, and other motorized/manual cleaning devices.
- Shampoo carpets, upholstery, and assist with floor refinishing projects, as assigned.
- Wash walls, windows, vents, light fixtures, and other high or hard-to-reach areas using proper safety equipment.
- Assist with room setups, furniture moving, curtain changes, and special cleaning projects.
- Follow all safety, chemical handling, infection prevention, and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
- Perform other related housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned.
