JOB TITLE: Electromechanical Production Assembler
LOCATION: West Warwick, RI
HOURS: Full-Time, 1st Shift

The Production Assembler follows outlined procedures and specifications in assembling AstroNova products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand manufacturing work orders, follow production drawings, assembly procedures, wiring diagrams and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Mechanical assembly of parts in specified relationship to each other using basic hand tools
  • Route wires and connectors between individual component locations
  • Adjusts and tests components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
  • Performs basic sub-assembly testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
  • Completes required paperwork, as required, and in a timely manner
  • Assist other team members as necessary

Successful candidates will have:

  • Ability to read/understand work instructions and mechanical assembly drawings (blueprints)
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Candidate must be punctual, quality conscious, and motivated
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with the use of common assembly hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, cutters)
