Position Summary
The Director of IT will ensure the successful operation of technology within the organization by providing technical assistance and maintaining the upkeep of equipment inventory.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computing hardware and software applications while sustaining the on- going performance of computer and information systems.
- Respond to employee queries regarding computer hardware, software, and programs in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support for all standard productivity software (Microsoft Office 365 / Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Microsoft Teams, etc.). Includes installation, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance and training.
- Install operating systems and software (primarily Windows 10 and limited Mac OS) to prepare equipment for employee use.
- Support collaboration tools such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Proactively monitor multiple non-computer technology solutions (i.e. phone and security systems).
- Assist users and maintain pathways from home computers to corporate office systems for remote access to desktop computers, including the installation and troubleshooting of VPN and other remote access software (i.e. VMware).
- Install and configure new end-user devices including Windows OS, computers, printers, smart phones, tablets, and other computing-related devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain back-up and anti-virus software on all desktop/laptop operating systems.
- Facilitate the transfer of equipment to staff during employee onboarding process.
- Support a team of 60+ employees and additional end-users as identified.
- Educate and train professional administrative/operational staff on proper computing techniques, security awareness, and use of software applications.
- Procure, replace, and dispose of equipment to maintain equipment inventory.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors.
- Refer significant issues or defective equipment to appropriate vendors.
- Keep abreast of new technologies including computer software and hardware, smart phones, and peripheral devices.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will meet the following experience requirements:
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience supporting 50+ users in a professional in-person office and remote setting and anticipating and addressing problems/delays
- Experience managing multiple operating systems
- Experience with remote desktop software
- Demonstrated experience displaying sound problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service both internally and externally
- Flexibility in adjusting work schedule to accommodate priority needs, system downtime, and emergencies
