COMPANY NAME:  J Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center

JOB TITLE:  Direct Support Professional

LOCATION: Multiple Locations

HOURS: 2nd & 3rd Shift, Full Time & Part Time   

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be part of a Team that works directly with adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. We aim to assist these individuals reach their full potential and provide individualized supports in their home. You must be able to work as a member of a team, have effective communication, interpersonal skills, and possess patience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing valuable, one-on-one community and home-based support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assisting the amazing people we support with their daily living skills, routines, personal care, and vocational programs & recreational activities as well as maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Advocating for and enhancing the lives of the people we support 
  • Working independently and as a team to provide supports through positive approaches
  • Participating in agency required trainings including Safety Care, CPR, and Medication Administration

Successful candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
  • Favorable BCI results
  • Safe driving record
  • Access to personal vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transport
