Herrick & White Architectural Woodworkers is looking to hire a CNC Programmer to coordinate machining centers to perform a series of operations to exact tolerance and finishing specifications.

SALARY:  $14  to $22  per hour (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and create blueprints, process plans, program setup sheets, holding fixture location, diagrams, etc. to help setup and prepare CNC machines for operation
  • Pull and create CNC part drawings from Shop Drawings
  • Interpret part drawings to develop sequence of machining operations
  • Resolve complex or unusual design problems
  • Suggest design or material changes when alternate configurations appear appropriate
  • Prepare and compile reference materials for CNC procedures
  • Determine material and fabrication methods to be used, if not explicitly specified; calculate sizes, dimensional relationship of parts, working tolerances
  • Produce G-code to run in-house CNC equipment using available software
  • Make modifications to CNC Post Processor as needed
  • Train operators for basic CNC operations
  • Be able to turn on machine, calibrate to zero point, set height and diameter offsets, and put into safe mode in accordance with manufacturer’ s instructions
  • Use safe work practices and Lock Out / Tag Out associated with setting up a CNC machine
  • Contribute to the cohesion and productivity of the team through demonstrated willingness to cooperate with and assist coworkers, and communicate openly and honestly

Requirements:
  • Computer skills highly desired; CAD/CAM a plus (Current software knowledge requirements: AutoCAD, AlphaCam, CadCode, Excel, Access)
  • CNC programming background of CNC Routers and Point to Point machining centers
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics including fraction/decimal conversion, and some geometry; trigonometry helpful
  • Must have above-average mechanical aptitude, including previous experience operating CNC Horizontal Machining Center and the ability to read machine code
  • Must be proficient with calipers, micrometers, and height gages
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent work habits, attention to detail, and concern for quality
  • Experience in an Architectural Millwork shop environment is preferred

JOB TITLE: CDL Drivers (Class A)

RATE OF PAY:  $18.50 - $19.00  per hour

HOURS: Full-Time

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering trailers in a timely manner; offloading skidded freight as required

Comply with all Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and maintain an excellent safety record

Operate company vehicles in a safe, considerate manner at all times

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Two years of practical experience preferred operating day cabs or sleepers

Clean CDL driving records for a period of at least two years

Ability to pass DOT drug test and a DOT physical

Possess a valid medical certificate at time of hire

Ability to interact with other people in a positive manner, both in-store and on the road

Prior experience with dry van delivery is highly desirable

Ability to work independently and be dependable

  • Ability to work independently and successfully in a team environment
  • Capable of delivering results within specified timeframe
  • Proficient PC skills, including MS Office experience

HMShost is seeking a Line Cook to join the team at Bowties and Famous Famiglia. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing cooked foods, and must be able to perform all station functions of Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs; communicating ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers as necessary; providing the highest quality of service to customers and associates at all times; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager depending upon local requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items which may include soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food and beverage products
  • Tastes products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
  • Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment
  • Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment; Measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
  • Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product

 

Successful candidates have:

 
  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Food knowledge pertaining to Soups, Sauté, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

This is a free 7-week classroom and shop training that prepares participants for entry level welding positions in various industries throughout RI and nearby Mass.   • Protection of company assets

  • Is flexible with hours worked to ensure there is coverage 5 or 6 days per week, including early A.M. or late P.M. hours due to delivery schedules.
  • Maintains a clean receiving area daily.
  • Controls any fixtures stored in or near the receiving area.
  • Interacts with the store personnel as a daily routine in the process of moving and accounting for merchandise.
  • Responsible for keeping all merchandise stored in receiving organized a (by dept., category, and item) and accessible.
  • Ensures the receiving area is ready for year-end inventory.

  • Responsible for ensuring all RTW’ s (Return to Warehouse), transfers, recalls, damaged returns and any other outgoing shipments are handled to company standard.

Summary of Main Duties:
  • Ensure the integrity and timely processing of daily material transactions in and out of the facility and supports all functional areas including procurement, supplier quality, material control, receiving inspection, and inventory analysis

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare purchase orders on a daily basis and obtain approval from Plan Manager, as required
  • Order and monitor raw materials, container inventories and finished goods inventory to ensure sufficient inventory for production and communicates regularly with supervisor to ensure understanding of upcoming production and inventory needs
  • Coordinate production schedule with shipping department
  • Purchase and price new materials

  • Cycle count and adjust raw material and finished goods inventory and coordinate all physical inventories quarterly and annually
  • Assis plant manager with various ISO compliance

Qualifications:
  • Must be results oriented
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, negotiate with vendors, ensure shipments, organize inventories
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as regularly apply simple mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios, discounts, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, production staff and vendors
  • Ability to effectively evaluate inventories, plan needs and order accurate and timely inventories to support production needs and schedules

Experience, Training and Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required Associates or business degree preferred
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in a purchasing or inventory role in a warehouse/production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, and other related software applications

Summary of Main Duties:
  • Oversee, develop, administer, manager, and participate, as needed, in all maintenance planning and execution

Essential Functions:
  • Evaluate, monitor, develop, manage, and implement maintenance policies and procedures (preventative, routine, emergency) for all plant equipment and systems; ensure proper and timely information is documented in the  record master for maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant systems, machinery, equipment and infrastructure
  • Procure and maintain critical spare parts inventory to minimize downtime
  • Follow all  safety requirements including, but not limited to, lock out, tag out, and confined space procedures
  • Report and repair any safety hazards
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that positively affect safety or quality
  • Perform other related duties as required, requested, or assigned

Qualifications:
  • Strong ability to evaluate and troubleshoot systems and equipment and apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to establish fact, define the problem, draw conclusions, and implement appropriate repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of fabrication, tools, maintenance of heavy equipment/parts, and an understanding of instrumentation and control systems and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, schematics, assembly/disassembly instructions, and operation and maintenance manuals
  • Possess working understanding of required trades including welding, millwright, material fabrication, mechanical, and electrical
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage direct reports and coordinate maintenance activities with production personnel
  • Ability to meet the company’ s attendance and punctuality standards
  • Ability to use all required tools and machinery necessary for the position
  • Work timely, independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Experience, Training and Education:
  • 15+ years working in a manufacturing environment consisting predominately of rotating equipment and materials handling systems (solid and liquid) with at least 3 years in a lead supervisory position with overall responsibility for managing the plant maintenance program, scheduling resources, identifying capital needs, etc.
  • Candidates with an engineering or other technical educational background are preferred although consideration will be given predominately on one’ s actual experience

TRAINING DETAILS

Manufacturing 2.0 training program is a free, hands-on training that prepares participants for entry-level positions in the manufacturing industries throughout RI

Candidates will meet manufacturers and learn skills such as basic math, bench work, lean principles, precision measurements, tool use, job safety and employment counseling

The program consists of three levels and all applicants must begin at Level 1

Those completing Level 3 earn  a Manufacturing Pre-Apprentice Certificate and placement in a CNC apprentice job

Eighth grade reading and math proficiency

Basic computer skills
