COMPANY NAME:  AstroNova
JOB TITLE:   Production Assembler
LOCATION: West Warwick, RI

Key Responsibilities:

The Production Assembler follows outlined procedures and specifications in assembling products. Production Assemblers will be expected to read and understand manufacturing work orders, follow production drawings, assembly procedures, wiring diagrams and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed to mechanically assemble parts in specified relationship to each other using basic hand tools. Production Assemblers are responsible for performing basic subassembly testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. Must complete required paperwork, as required, and in a timely manner.

Successful candidates will have:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in electronics assembly preferred
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and mechanical assembly blueprints
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with the use of common assembly hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, cutters)
