JOB TITLE:   Operations Supervisor (Outside Machining)

RATE OF PAY:  $70, 000 - $80, 000 salary

HOURS:  Full Time

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • This individual will be responsible for directing the activities of a crew of outside machinists in the performance of preparing, assembly and installation of equipment onboard submarine units

  • Individual shall interface with engineering, ships' management, along with other trade departments 

  • Support company goals of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement

  • Must have the ability to set, assign, and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor and motivate crew

  • Perform self-assessment audits, and must commit to schedules and maintain product quality

Successful candidates will have:  

  • 3+ years of either machining, mechanical or millwright experience is  required

  • High School/GED preferred.; Technical School or AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline is preferred

  • Previous direct supervision or leadership experience desired

  • Basic Computer skills required for shipyard programs (i.e.AWPPS, ATA, Microsoft Office, email, ERS)
