JOB TITLE: Operations Supervisor (Electrical)
RATE OF PAY: $70, 000 - $80, 000 salary
HOURS: Full Time
Supervise the daily activities of predominantly an OSE crew including, but not limited to, the additional trades of welding, shipfitter, pipefitters, etc,.
Managing daily issues in the areas of safety, quality, cost performance and schedule maintenance
Assisting the department Area Superintendent with planning, scheduling, training, safety, performance monitoring, equipment inspection and maintenance development
Implementation of process improvement projects and the review of production methods and capabilities
Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and quality of functions.
Successful candidates will have:
Must have related work experience in the electrical field (marine, residential, commercial, automotive)
3+ years electrical experience is preferred (marine, residential, commercial, automotive)
Education/training (i.e. Technical School, AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline) is preferred
Previous shipyard or shipbuilding experience is preferred
MDU graduate a plus
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation and working knowledge of ship systems and procedures pertaining to submarine construction and electrical processes is preferred
