JOB TITLE:   Operations Supervisor (Electrical)

RATE OF PAY:  $70, 000 - $80, 000 salary

HOURS:  Full Time

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise the daily activities of predominantly an OSE crew including, but not limited to, the additional trades of welding, shipfitter, pipefitters, etc,.

  • Managing daily issues in the areas of safety, quality, cost performance and schedule maintenance

  • Assisting the department Area Superintendent with planning, scheduling, training, safety, performance monitoring, equipment inspection and maintenance development

  • Implementation of process improvement projects and the review of production methods and capabilities

  • Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and quality of functions. 

Successful candidates will have:  

  • Must have related work experience in the electrical field (marine, residential, commercial, automotive)

  • 3+ years electrical experience is preferred (marine, residential, commercial, automotive)

  • Education/training (i.e. Technical School, AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline) is preferred

  • Previous shipyard or shipbuilding experience is preferred

  • MDU graduate a plus

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation and working knowledge of ship systems and procedures pertaining to submarine construction and electrical processes is preferred
