JOB TITLE:   Employment Specialist

LOCATION: Cranston, RI

HOURS:  Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals (i.e. though demonstration, repetition, verbal and gestural instruction) in learning job tasks.
  • Assist individuals in establishing community employment relationships, schedules and adherence to work policy.
  • Support Individuals as needed (i.e. setting work pace, implement work responsibilities, correcting work, etc.) to ensure success on the job.
  • Problem solves issues with the individual and employer.
  • Assist in development and implementation of all individuals plan for services, which assist in increasing individual participation in daily activities.
  • Completion of all assigned documentation, including daily schedules, annual summaries, progress notes, data sheets, etc.
  • Transport Individuals to/from work.
  • Assist in working out schedule and schedule conflicts.

Successful candidates will have:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 1 year Human Services.
  • Willingness and ability to complete CPR, NCI (Nonviolent crisis intervention) Human Rights and other required trainings.
  • Access and provision of an insured automobile on an ongoing basis.
  • Working knowledge of employment supports.
  • Ability to read/write English, ability to instruct individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
