TRAINING TITLE:  CompTIA Security+ Training

DATE  AND TIME: January 10, 11, 12, 17 & 18,   9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day

LOCATION: CCRI’ s Newport County campus in Newport, 1 John H Chafee Blvd, Newport, RI 02840

STIPEND:  No stipend however cost of training and exam voucher are covered by Real Jobs RI grant funds for unemployed trainees.

TRAINING DETAILS

This  training prepares participants to take the CompTIA Security+ exams that tests IT and computer professionals on how to: install and configure systems to secure applications, networks, and devices; perform threat analysis and respond with appropriate mitigation techniques; participate in risk mitigation activities; and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations.

SENEDIA has coordinated with CCRI to offer CompTIA Security+ exam preparation.  Through our Real Jobs Rhode Island grant, we can offer this training, regularly $1900, free to unemployed Rhode Islanders. In addition, the Real Jobs RI grant funds also will cover the cost of the Security+ exam voucher, which is $340.  

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Unemployed Rhode Islander

IT or computer science education, or experience in IT and networking.

Preferably already have a CompTIA certification in either A+ or Network+ but not required.
