Skills for Rhode Island’s Future is seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to join its Strategy & Development Department, a division responsible for supporting the agency’s client-facing departments through services such as marketing, fundraising, data, program design, logistics, and project management. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact supporting our Project Management Office in project design, implementation, and execution.
This candidate will preferably have experience working in dynamic environments supporting operations and projects. This is a hybrid position where the Junior Project Manager will split time working virtually from home and in-person at our office in Providence.
The Junior Project Manager is a member of the Strategy & Development department and is responsible for providing support in the planning and execution of projects and events across the organization. The Junior Project Manager will:
Support high performance teams; support team members in use of project management tools, processes, and methodologies
Assist with managing the distribution and allocation of resources and setting of deadlines to ensure initiatives are executed with little disruption and maximum efficiency
Assist in the definition of project scope, objectives, deliverables, and budgets
Support the development of project plans, independently and collaboratively, to monitor and track progress; identify appropriate measurement tools to analyze short and long-term goals
Meet regularly with the key project teams to monitor risks and issues and generate updates and reports for the Project Management Office
Support the leadership and Project Management team as needed by developing process documents related to high-priority initiatives or new program pitches
Collaborate with the Marketing Design Manager on various campaigns and marketing initiatives
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency, including the pursuit of formal Project Management credentialing
Work closely with the agency’s Project Managers and Director of Project Management to regularly communicate and share information regarding various projects within the agency; ensure efforts are aligned and not duplicated

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will meet the following experience requirements:
2-4 years of relevant Project Management experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Bilingual (Spanish speaking) strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
